I started practicing yoga when I was in highschool after quitting the swim team and looking for a new way to move my body. I grew up a swimmer and loved the grace of the water and the low impact of it all. I joined a hot yoga studio near my parents home not knowing the journey I was about to take. What I realized when I started showing up to my studio was more than just a physical practice- I found a community that inspired me both spiritually and physically. I began to feel at home in my physical and mental body and fell in love with the practice.

I give so much gratitude to all my teachers and I soon realized that I wanted to be someone’s teacher and give the knowledge that I learned that has helped me in so many areas in my life.

I received my teacher training in Mal Pais in Costa Rica with the School of Yoga Institute and have been a teacher for two years now. I strive to guide my students to a place of mind-body connection and teach them the tools to build strength, courage, confidence and love in themselves.

I am currently enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training at Chi Yoga Shack in Bucktown studying Ashtanga, Sanskrit, philosophy of yoga, and meditation.
